Cells for Industrial, Commercial, and OEM Applications
Lithium pouch cells, often referred to as Lithium Polymer cells, are one of several cell formats offered by VPW and are a simple, flexible and lightweight solution. Deemed to be among the lightest cell types available primarily due to the lack of a metal enclosure found with cylindrical cells, pouch cells also offer packaging efficiency of up to 95%.
Available in a wide range of sizes and capacities the pouch cell is well suited for applications requiring high load currents and is often used in energy storage systems, cell phones and wearable’s, electric forklifts, automobiles and robots. This format lends well to high target capacities where cylindrical cells are limited by the constraints of a standardized metal enclosure.
VPW offers a large array of standard cell sizes and due to cell design and construction, we are also able to meet very specific dimensional requirements through custom cell design.
In addition to a multitude of available cell sizes, VPW offers pouch cells in a wide range of derivatives to address specific and unique performance requirements including specific energy, specific power, safety, performance, lifespan and cost.
